Kansai Paints is a top 10 global paints manufacturer. In 2017, the Japanese behemoth acquired Sadolin Paints locally and rebranded to Kansai Plascon Kenya. Following the completion of the buyout, the company was looking to establish its brand visibility, credibility, and association in the Kenyan market. We came in to help the brand replicate its global and continental success locally.
Approach
This particular brand’s approach is to demonstrate to consumers the infinite magic and energy of color, we were tasked with relaying Plascon’s passion for creativity and quality to her target audience. We embarked on comparative research of the brand’s key differentiators, which will then set the base for our PR campaigns and messaging. We then devised strategies and tactics that would establish and maintain the brand as a top contender in the local paints market, while ensuring its visibility, credibility, positive coverage, and association.
Result
In the course of our partnership, the brand is gaining market share at a terrific speed with consumers already starting to resonate with its passion for the color and quality of its products in its 4 years of operations in Kenya.
